Pee Wee Herman II
.

This is making the rounds on Facebook. I heard Eastwood's bit at the Republican National Convention on the radio. The BBC presenter was befuddled by it. It was inane and unlikely to do Mitt Romney much good. But you could hear the delight in the audience's response whenever something made enough sense for them to roar at.

Republicans have never gotten much respect from the celebrities Americans love most, those who star on TV and in movies, and musical performers, but here was a superstar, albeit of a bygone era, but the John Wayne of his day, hanging out with them, validating them.
